Hi, I’m Ben - Owner & Licensed Applicator
With over 17 years of experience in the turf industry, I started mowing commercially for my father’s business at age 12. Today, I’m a licensed fertilizer and pesticide applicator in the state of Iowa and a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Agronomy, specializing in sustainable agriculture.
I apply science-backed, environmentally responsible practices to every lawn, using the same Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies that are trusted on thousands of acres of cropland. Whether it’s a residential yard or a larger commercial space, I bring the same level of care and precision to every project.
When I'm not working outdoors, you’ll likely find me enjoying it. I enjoy hiking and exploring the natural beauty of Colorado as one of my favorite ways to recharge. That love for nature fuels my commitment to sustainable, eco-friendly lawn care.
A Tree for the Next Generation...
This was one of the most challenging, and most rewarding, projects I’ve ever taken on. I had the chance to oversee the replacement of the local mall’s aging Christmas tree, right in the very spot I used to admire as a kid during the holidays. It’s a place filled with memories, and it was important to me that the new tree could bring that same sense of wonder to future generations.
The process involved a lot of planning, from selecting the right tree to working around weather delays and site restrictions. We amended the soil at the new site to make sure it was just right, and even used a crane to carefully place the tree. Arborists secured the rootball and cabled the tree for extra stability. The irrigation system was updated, and we even put annual soil testing in place to ensure the growing conditions stay consistent over time.
This wasn’t just a landscaping job... it was about preserving a little piece of holiday magic for years to come.
